Sweet and Shimmer – Cool Palette

A couple of years ago, I got a cute, cheap eye shadow as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. The brand name was Sweet and Shimmer – one I was not familiar with and had packaging that reminded me of what I see with drug store make up.

Two years later, it is still one of my go to neutrals with some pop color palettes that I honestly do not wear more because I can’t find anything like it in the brand names I know.

In fact, when researching to provide more info for the post, I could not find this palette any where online. The brand Sweet and Shimmer appears to make cheap holiday stocking stuffers for ULTA – the ones you find that front of the store when you check out.

You know the last minute items I’m talking about. 5 for $10? Score!

AND…The only hint that this particular even exists is a YouTube video from two years ago where some one did a review of the various Sweet and Shimmer items that were avaiable around the holidays in 2016.

My screen grab timing is golden

All that information aside and the fact that this is not the highest quality eye shadow make up I own, I love the neutral everyday look that this palette provides me while still giving me a little flare to keep things exciting. It has everything that I personally need for a complete look: light base color for blending, light shimmer color for the lid, medium neutral tone for crease, darker neutral tone for giving the crease depth, and a rich teal for the lash line of the lower lid.

Now, I will admit – this palette does show its price point when it comes to fall out. This sucker gets EVERYWHERE if I’m not careful.

And I do mean everywhere…

But, at the end of the day, I love it and I’m going to keep my eyes out for something similar so I can keep this look in my arsenal.

Cheers!
