Sorry for the lack of post yesterday – I’ve been battling a cold turn sinus infection for a few weeks now and it got the best of me (I’m sure my New Year’s Eve mimosas did not help either).
Anyway, for accountability sake, I wanted to post some of my goals for 2019 that have to do with beauty (and health since it can have a huge impact).
- Drink more water! I do not tend to drink hardly anything and I know better. While I’ve never been able to drink the required half your weight in ounces rule, I’d like to strive for at least 1/4 my weight in ounces.
- Wash my face nightly. I have always been great about washing my face daily but I tend to fail when it comes to consistently taking off my make up and/or just giving my face a good cleaning before bed. Given how much junk sticks to our face from the environments we move about in, this is a crucial step in my skin care that I need to step up on.
- Find a dermatologist and actually get a customized skin care plan. I was lucky to be born with great skin but, as I age, I want to be proactive in the health and anti-aging of my face.
- Continue to learn and grow in make up. While I have learned a lot, there is a lot I still need to learn or skills I need to perfect (like contour, false eye lashes, cut creases). For the sake of my mental health, I need to create and make up is one of the avenues that I want to push my talents in.
I’m hoping that tomorrow I will be back on track for my normal types of posting – especially because I just got my order today from the Tarte end of the year sale and I still haven’t gotten to play much with my new Karity Palettes.
Cheers!
